Solidworks modeling from 3D Scans

If you use Solidworks, you’re an ideal customer for our reverse engineering services. We use Solidworks primarily for CAD modeling. If you are not familiar with it, it is by most accounts the industry standard for mechanical design. When we model your scanned part in Solidworks, we are able to make changes to easily due to the parametric, or “spec-driven” design. For example, we can change the length of an object by changing one number, and not having to re-model everything. Perhaps our most challenging Solidworks model has been this single-shot shopping car mold for a local manufacturer:
shopping cart 3D model
Single shot plastic shopping cart
This shopping cart has been spotted at Lowes and other local stores. Another challenging model was this aircraft cylinder head:
Four perspectives of a cylinder head
Air-cooled cylinder head from an airplane
If Solidworks is not your chosen CAD platform, that is no problem. We can provide neutral (formats that aren’t specific to a software vendor) CAD formats such as STP, IGES, parasolid, STL, VRML, and more.

Are you in need of Solidworks modeling in conjunction with 3D Scanning?

Our team of highly advanced modelers can provide the 3D CAD modeling that you are looking for.
