Did you know that you can scan virtually any part of your plant or factory? From tight spaces to large outdoor structures, laser scanners can pick up every small pipe and conduit. In fact there is really no limit to the number of pipes and objects a scanner scan capture. If it can be seen, it can be scanned. This is why scanning within complex industrial environments is an incredible value. We understand that the stakes are high for industrial engineering projects, and offer several results that are catered to industrial projects

Arrival 3D utilizes industrial grade 3D laser scanners that can withstand the tough environments that industrial scanning requires. We can scan deep in the heart of your operation to capture piping, conduit and small items that others might miss. Our rugged laser scanners can tolerate heat, cold, moisture and vibration. Long lasting batteries allow lengthy scanning sessions in environments where there are no power outlets.
For areas that are inaccessible, we have specialty equipment that can get the job done.
When you need to make changes to existing equipment, an accurate 3D as-built model can be invaluable to plan piping routes, specify equipment sizes and order parts. The CAD model produced by the 3D laser scanning process can have as much or as little detail as desired.
CAD models will be optimized for usability, in that they should not be so large and heavy as to slow down or freeze your computer. Items in the CAD model can appear in layers, and you have the option to include or exclude any type of item from the process to make the most of your budget. For example, many customers exclude conduit because it’s not important to their project.
We recognize that safety comes first. Our scanning technicians have extensive experience in industrial environments and the safe work practices necessary to scan within them. All of our industrial scanning technicians have had extensive safety training, and have access to all of the Personal Protective Equipment that might be needed on a job.
Laser scanning itself helps foster safety in the plant environment, in that it reduces the amount of time people need to spend around the plant equipment to do things like take pictures and measurements.
A digital twin walk through can be created as a result of a 3D laser scan. An industrial plant has so much equipment and information that a digital twin can really be a great productivity tool. Simply being able to navigate and walk around the plant virtually, viewing high quality panoramic images, is a great enough benefit in itself to justify the cost of laser scanning. There is no telling exactly how your organization will use it, we just know that once your team members start using it, they will discover many great uses. But beyond the simple walk through capability, there is a gold mine of tools available to extend the capability of the digital twin. These tools revolve around embedding or linking information within the digital twin, so that users can seek and find information that would otherwise be difficult to find. Also, displaying real time information within the digital twin is a very exciting possibility.
Are you interested in a large scale plant scan requiring potentially thousands of scans? We have the experience and personnel to handle it. We have the capability to work with plant survey coordinates, and put a lot of planning into such an endeavor to ensure success. Techniques for success with large projects primarily involve management and organization. Careful tracking of scan activities and planning of scan stages can turn a seemingly overwhelming task into a series of simpler tasks. it is always our goal to keep it simple where possible, and do things with an eye for how it will impact others in the future.
