The digital twin allows you to leave points of information at any place you pick in 3D space. Because the visuals are generated using digital 360 imaging photogrammetry every machine, a wall outlet, a fire extinguisher or just a spot on the floor can be captured with clarity.

A great range of possible types of information can be left at that spot., so this is where things really get interesting. You can leave a simple note or label, or you can upload documents and drawings that can be found/discovered by the next user who happens by. You can have a set of fields containing specific information, or an unstructured body of freeform text and images similar to a mini web page. But where it really gets interesting is that you can stream live information from this spot. The live information can even be sensor data from the object itself. .

The digital twin is easy to use. One can view the full color panoramas simply by clicking and dragging. Navigation is as easy as double clicking where you want to go next. A side panel showing the map view adds to the user’s awareness of the space.

On the right, there is a list of floors, so you can jump up or down to a specific floor with one click.

On the left is a menu of tools that allow you do things like take a measurement. export a point cloud or leave a point of information within the room.

Because the digital twin is captured with professional grade laser scanners, it also contains precise point clouds in addition to the panoramic images. These point clouds provide the means for taking dimensional measurements. These measurements can be floor-to-ceiling height, door openings or any vertical or horizontal point-to-point measurement. You can also calculate square footage of a space on the floor, for example. You can also download a point cloud of the whole building, or just a small area related to your project.
