Arrival 3D Scanning Services: The Scanning Cycle
The scanning process began with our Faro Quantum articulated arm. The hubs themselves aren’t that large but contained a lot of precise detail. Orienting the hubs (front and back) on our mounting table in such a way where we were able to capture these minute details was essential. Firmly fastened to our scanning table, the hubs were scanned, leaving only a few areas around the end of the hub not captured. With a few passes of the arm at a point spacing of .01″, we were able to successfully capture the hub and model it to their specifications.
