3D Laser Scanning Services: A Robot Inspired By Chopsticks

The Dextrous Robotics lab is a fascinating place to visit. The floor-length tinted windows reveal vague, shadowy figures moving around inside. They started Dextrous three years ago to develop robots that can do dangerous and physically demanding tasks currently done by humans. Now, he has built a robot that can perform these tasks with “super-human” speed and efficiency.

The team’s most recent project? A Memphis couple who built two successful businesses from their flower power. Meet the man responsible for developing BlueOval City’s workforce, Sam Zapolsky. He has been working with Ford Motor Company to help them move packages around using robots.

This is just one way his company helps make life easier for Americans all over America by bringing cutting-edge technology, such as 3D scanning services and 3D laser scans, into everyday tasks such as picking up groceries at your local store or packing an apartment complex full of boxes.

FedEx Express and the pilots union have requested federal mediation to resolve their labor dispute. The company had previously announced plans to invest $4 billion over five years in driverless trucks. In addition, they intend to develop further its own robot-based delivery system.
