The original way to create prosthetics
Campana had to spend hours and hours working for one dog or “patient.” It would take him 15 hours of hard work that was all mostly by hand to create one prosthetic. The process took so long he had to turn away several dogs and other animals.
He would have to take molds of the dog, create a cast, sand it, shape it, and much more before it was even ready for an animal to wear. It took hours of hard work and dedication. It was also not always the most comfortable way for the animals to get prosthetics. The use of 3D laser scanning has genuinely changed the process.

Instead of creating molds of a limb, and putting in hours of work to get the measurements. 3D laser scanning can quickly scan the stump of the animal and the other leg, to get accurate details of how the new prosthetic should be.
