3D Laser Scanning Services Spotlight: DiscoverFeed Takes Oriental JACK Seoul Into Metaverse

DiscoverFeed, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, creates metaverse spaces by scanning clubs worldwide in 3D and distributes music from DJs around the globe. The company recently opened the renowned Seoul nightclub metaverse version dubbed Virtual Oriental JACK on Friday, July 22, 2022.

The popular nightclub Oriental JACK opened in 2021. It’s famous for being one of the biggest clubs in Korea. The club now has a metaverse version called “Virtual Oriental JACK.” The virtual version of the club will allow its fans to visit the premises even when they can’t make it in person. This is achieved through 3D laser scanning services and other forms of technology.

“DiscoverFeed” – Metaverse Platform

The metaverse platform, DiscoverFeed, can be accessed through the web using a browser on any device connected to the internet. Visitors can use this opportunity to tour the club, enjoy personalized DJs’ performances, offer gifts to DJs, interact with other users, and enjoy themselves in many different ways. The metaverse clubs are connected using a virtual corridor. 

These corridors will later be used to create additional commercial facilities. 3D scanning services will still be crucial in creating such facilities.

DiscoverFeed utilizes digital twin technology and 3d laser scans to bring virtual realities to life. This allows users to have fun gaming, shopping, communicating, and traveling centered around music.

The digital twin technology used in the virtual club uses Matterport, Inc. cameras and 3D laser scanning services to capture images of the premises. The content layer function developed alongside NonEntoropy Japan is then used, allowing visitors to move around as though they were in the physical store. 3D scanning services are also handy here as they will enable users to enjoy conversations together and shop around the store.

Future Vision: 3D Laser Scanning Services in Action

DiscoverFeed plans to continue creating global virtual nightclubs around the globe and create a metaverse network. In the near future, DiscoverFeed intends to partner with 75 clubs and distribute various content from local DJs to world-renowned DJs.
