Case Study: 3D Scan of Aircraft Service Cart

Project Overview

Project Challenge

Arrival 3D was contracted by a manufacturer specializing in protective covers for aviation equipment. The client needed a highly accurate CAD model of an aircraft service cart to design a custom-fit cover.

  • Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
  • Client: Aviation Equipment Cover Manufacturer

To meet the precision demands, Arrival 3D used the Artec Leo handheld scanner. The Leo’s wireless, portable design allowed for easy maneuvering around the aircraft service cart, capturing high-resolution geometry from all angles.
The scan data was then processed and imported into 3D CAD modeling software to produce a clean, accurate, and reliable CAD model for the client’s custom cover design.
