3D Scan of Bank Building
Las Vegas, NV
High level of accuracy in the new cladding system
3D point cloud data alongside CAD files (Revit, SolidWorks, etc.)

Arrival 3D has been employed to conduct a bank building 3D laser scan in Las Vegas NV. The utility of the work included capturing as-built data and 2D elevation drawings (.dwg) for the new steel cladding’s design and fabrication of the required installations.
The project entailed delivering LOD 200 architectural floor plans alongside elevations for every building.
It also required the delivery of complete AutoCAD DWG files along with PDF documents that display architectural features clearly.
The scanning process included both inside and outdoor spaces but must exclude roof areas.
The technological system generated strong interactive 3D virtual panorama images to support virtual navigation through vivid colors.
The ultimate objective was to provide an efficient data processing, starting with site scanning operations and extending to the final CAD deliverables.
Problem
For custom steel cladding installations, extremely accurate documentation of the building’s existing conditions is pivotal. No manual or traditional method would guarantee this.
Solution
Arrival 3D ensured swift and precise data gathering with computer-controlled guidance and real-time cloud data registration, solving the issue of relying on paper.
Results & Benefits
Precise Built Conditions: It captured precise as-built conditions within a short timeframe.
Enhanced Accuracy: Results showed enhanced accurate dimensioning and spatial planning for cladding.
Avoid Rework: It provided models that include raw point clouds and CAD-prepared models and avoided costly rework due to fabricated errors.
Reduced Disruption and Enhanced Collaboration: Reduced disruption and on-site time by having a compact scanner. It also improved collaboration within the team by having access to easily shareable digital assets.
3D laser scanning delivers an accurate digital replica for spatial planning and also eliminates assumptions in renovation projects, giving utility to the user. By using reality capture early in the process, clients avoid delays, reduce costs, and ensure accurate fit of the involved components. The peace of mind offered by accurate, shareable, and remotely accessible project data is absolutely invaluable for all stakeholders.
