Space Exploration Cheaper With 3D Laser Scanning Services

Cut down expense with 3D laser scanning

Every day new articles come out related to space exploration. Just recently the Chinese landed on the dark side of the moon. Last week scientists discovered something that might possible suggest that there might be a slight chance of life on Mars (stay tuned!). There is talk that Mr. Elon Musk, with his SpaceX Rocket, is going to try to colonize Mars. We could also mention mining asteroids, listening to space signals, and space junk. The list goes on and on. At the back of my mind I am thinking do we really need to spend all of this money? I personally think we shouldn’t, but nobody is asking me. Apparently, we are going to spend the money. If so, then we should at least try to reduce our expenditures. One way to do that is by using 3D laser scanning services.

3D Laser Scanning Services Can help solve it

There are a lot of challenges that come with space exploration. For example, there is the challenge of gravity. Just getting outside of our own atmosphere was a struggle. There are also a lot of unknowns about how the human body can adapt to a non-gravitational environment over long periods of time. In my opinion, God gave us this planet to manage it and subdue it. So why on earth are we in such a hurry to leave? (You all can go, I’m stayin’). Then again I’m not in charge. Another problem that needs overcoming is the need for supplies out there. If we forget to buy bacon bits here on planet earth, we can just skip on down to the Piggly Wiggly to buy a pack. If you run out of Mayonnaise on Mars, then what do you do? It makes for a sorry sandwich. A Door Dash to Mars is not cheap. Hold your mustard, there is a solution that might help with that problem. No, I don’t mean building a Walmart on Mars (I’m sure they have considered it). The solution may be 3D printing and 3D laser scanning services.

Print a 3D Model

3D printing and 3D laser scanning services could be a solution to providing needed replacement parts for space cowboys. In fact, the international space station is already using 3D printing for that very purpose. 3D printing works by taking a 3D computerized model of some part and prints it out. That might sound a little strange to say because we often think of printing as simply ink on paper. How can you print out a 3D object? It’s quite simply actually. The 3D printer is loaded with a whatever material the designer wants to build the part with. Using the 3D model, the printer prints out the part by building it layer upon layer. This is a much more effective way to get parts than having to special order them in space. The 3D model can be sent electronically. That means that basically any part could be made.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that 3D laser scanning services will be very useful for space exploration endeavors. If we are going to explore places like Mars, lets not waste all of our money in case no one ends up wanting to move there. The chances are pretty high that they won’t.
