Name - 3D Scan of Architectural Feature Wall – Los Angeles, CA
Project Area - 3,000 sq. ft.
LOD - 250
Description - Arrival 3D was commissioned by a leading construction company in Los Angeles to perform a high-precision 3D laser scan of a curved architectural feature wall. The goal was to generate accurate as-built documentation to guide the design and fabrication of custom wood cladding elements.Using our Leica RTC360, Arrival 3D captured a comprehensive point cloud—comprising millions of data points—which serves as the foundation for detailed measurement, spatial planning, and 3D modeling. The scan data can be delivered as raw point clouds or converted into intelligent CAD and Revit models, supporting seamless integration into the client’s design workflow. Our scanning process took only a few hours on-site, requiring minimal setup and no disruption to surrounding construction activities. The compact nature of the RTC360, combined with its fast scan speed and sub-centimeter accuracy, made it the ideal tool for capturing the subtle curvature and surface conditions of the structure.
✅ Key Highlights:
Accurate scan of a complex architectural wall
Delivered point cloud and CAD/Revit model outputs
Used Leica RTC360 for speed, range, and precision
Supported spatial planning and design of custom cladding
Helped client avoid costly errors and manual rework
This project underscores the value of 3D scanning for architectural elements, especially when original blueprints are missing or outdated. By partnering with a nationwide LiDAR scanning company like Arrival 3D, clients gain peace of mind, save time, and improve project outcomes through precise digital documentation.
