Description - A manufacturer of modified bitumen and waterproofing membranes for roof systems and coatings
wanted detailed as-built documentation for their duct granule system. The manufacturing plant’s
existing duct granule system needed to be evaluated for its efficiency. Since, the duct system is
intricate, and difficult to access, only 3D laser scanning was a possible solution for as-built
documentation of the industrial ducting.
To remedy this, Arrival 3D scanned the complete duct granule system with a high level of accuracy.
Our certified surveyors used Leica RTC360 for the precise scanning of the duct granular system. The acquired point cloud data is then converted to LOD 300 BIM model of duct granule system and equipment. This helped the engineers to identify and evaluate structural conditions.
