Name - 3D Laser Scanning Services for the Hospitality Industry
Project Area - 9,500 sq. ft.
LOD - 300
Description - Arrival 3D scanned a 9,500-square-foot commercial site for Hai Hospitality in Bethesda, MD.
The task was to build a LOD 300 Revit model showing all key architectural, structural, and visible MEP features. Using the Leica RTC360, scans were captured in grayscale and set to an assumed coordinate system. The Revit model and point cloud were placed on the same
coordinates, allowing easy overlay in Autodesk software. Any elements not modeled could still be located and measured in the point cloud. Final deliverables included a 3D point cloud
in RCP format and a DWG model. This gave the client complete, ready-to-use data for
planning, design, or renovation.
Objective – Create a LOD 300 Revit model with full architectural, structural, and visible MEP detail.
Challenges – Aligning grayscale scans with the model and capturing all features clearly
without color data.
Result – Accurate Revit model, clean point cloud, and DWG files ready for design and planning.
