Description -Vertical gas tanks must be recalibrated every 5 years. During its usage, they can be affected by various reasons related to its usage or other geological reasons. Calibration of vertical gas tanks can be done with 3D laser scanning and modeling. We scanned and created a BIM model of the tank for conformity assessment, tank calibration, and tank geometric survey using 3D laser scanning technology. Our Scan to BIM process also helped in non-destructive testing (NDT) for pipes, tanks, and structural tubular profiles.
